Secrets Beneath the Steam: The Empire’s Hidden Chronicles

Unfolding the unseen history of invention, ambition, and power before the Rift.

A Glimpse into the Empire’s Future

The Empire’s engines roared once more. The sound marked the beginning of invention and rising ambition.

It all began with the Steampunk World Expo, a grand exhibition held at the heart of the Empire’s trade capital. Historians later described it as a glimpse into the future.

Episode I: The Steampunk Expo

Year 35 Before the Rift

The Expo brought together the Empire’s brightest minds. Seven visionaries gathered, each driven by personal ambition.

Inside halls filled with steam and brass, remarkable creations were revealed:

• Steam-powered airships and mechanical beasts

• Ore transport engines and experimental flying machines

• Soldiers of steel and early time machine concepts

While the crowds admired the wonders, quiet deals were made behind closed doors. Among the elite, whispers began to spread. They spoke of power, profit, and a mysterious idea known only as The Dreamland.

When the Expo closed, the displays were packed away. But the gears of fate had already started to turn.

Episode II: The Ore Factory Conspiracy

Months after the Expo

From the shadows of the exhibition rose Edward Varnon, the Factory Master.

Through loans, trades, and secret alliances, he expanded his influence across the Empire. His railway network carried more than ore. It also transported crystals that glowed with a forbidden light.

Opposition soon emerged. The Time Faction, scholars from the Library of Time and the Memory Magic Shop, issued a warning:

“When steam runs without control, even the past cannot be protected.”

Despite this, Edward’s power continued to grow. His name was spoken with both respect and fear. His industrial empire began to rival the Empire itself.
